We Can All Make A Comeback

For over 150 years biologists thought the New Zealand Storm Petrel was extinct, but now they have declared that in fact, it is not. The bird was seen by many bird watchers for many years, but biologist thought that the birds they were seeing were just a rare coloration of a more common species. Now, after DNA samples from stuffed Storm Petrels in museums, biologists now say the bird is actually not extinct and has been surviving all along without us knowing.  A classic example of how much we really don't know.
storm-petrel photo      I like this story because we all can make a comeback, even if the judging world around us does not see it.  Many of the bird watchers knew that the Petrel might still be alive, but the biologists, the "real scientists", thought otherwise. Don't wait for the world's approval to make your own comeback. Like the Petrel, you are free to live no matter what.

Movies From Our Heads

Okay so this video is SUPER cool. Scientists have discovered how to make images you are seeing in your head appear on screen. So in the future, you will be able to see your dream again on a screen. Anyway, I'll post a link with more information for you.

Don't forget to comment and give me feedback! Also, don't forget to like, dislike or ask for more on the topic!!

60-MINUTE RIDE AROUND MAHALLA

Hey viewers,

If you are looking for an update on Egypt's politics, I recommend clicking on the link below. It is a great video that interviews Egyptian locals and their take on the protesting. It's great because it is not old news either. The video is about how people in Egypt are feeling now, after all the protesting and chaos. It's interesting.

P.S. Don't forget to click your reaction to the post! It's right below!

13-Year old boy makes Solar Power breakthrough

Now this is cool. A 13-Year old boy has discovered how to make 20% to 50% more energy by using a solar tree. The boy (Aidan Dwyer) discovered that when using the Fibonacci Sequence (like all plant life) you can harness more energy from the sun. Anyway, take a look! Oh, and make sure you click the little 2 at the bottom of the page so that you can go to the next page.

Zeitgeist Movement Response to Media: Death of Osama bin Laden

Okay, so, perspective is one thing I love to offer in this blog. So, here is a big dose of perspective for you.  The Zeitgeist Movement is a very interesting organization and something to keep an eye on. They have made a few movies now (one of which I posted on this blog. You may want to do a quick search) and they seem to be getting quite a lot of attention.
So, even though the topic of Osama Bin Laden's death is a tough one (and may I say one that I have been avoiding), I think that this video is something to consider and think about.  Take a look!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOqQa5k0org

The intense music makes it a little to "epic movie" like. But the message is good. I remember thinking myself, when I heard the news of Osama bin Laden's death, how can we give so much praise to another human's death?  That, right there, that question, is one to deeply think about. And how much do we do this? This praise for the ones who have killed others.  We are not barbaric people.  The people who need our respect and praise are the ones who have lost their lives trying to protect something, or someone. Whether it is a country, or a child.

GMO

"If you put a label on genetically engineered food you might as well put a skull and cross bones on it," Norman Braksick.

Well, I didn't really plan on starting with this post, but it caught my eye how brave and passionate this organization is. People have always said to me that GMO foods were bad for you, but I never imagined this... a possible cause of Cancer?! Well, anyways, you should click on the link and read it. For the sake of information.

Organic Consumers Association

So basically we are slowly bring poisoned. Wonderful. Why would they do that? Is it cheaper? Again money comes up as yet another issue. The only way to beat it, is to grow your own food or purchase it locally from an organic farm. You have to know where it comes from. Otherwise, every time you go out to eat, or buy junk food for a party, they win. Not saying that I never eat junk food, or go out to eat. But it's something you should know and have the choice to make the right decision . Like what the article said," The Achilles heel of Monsanto and the biotech industry is the consumers' right to know.  If GE-tainted food are labeled in supermarkets and natural food stores, a massive rejection of chemical and GMO foods will take place, transforming the market place and supercharging the organic and local foods revolution."

You have a right to know. And don't you forget it!

I'm back!

Hello,

Well, it's certainly good to be back in the saddle. Sometimes it feels really good to just take a break from the world. So, summer was carefree and joyful.  So, even though I took a long break, I am ready to jump back into my writing. A lot has happened lately, and I feel totally overwhelmed with possible blog topics.

This is just a shout out to all those who read this...  (If anyone does).  Keep your eyes open for some new posts coming! This school year I am going to really try to write about ALL possible theories and ideas. Not just the ones that I like. I'm going to REALLY try to explore all kinds of material. So... it's gonna be a good school year!!

And remember... STAY OPEN!
